Powerful images. Movement that tells a story. An emotional ride full of euphoria and triumph, but also frustration and pain. Sport as a gateway to themes that touch every one of us, whether we love it or despise it. The title St.art evokes “sacred art”, linking the worlds of sport and art while referencing the divine origins of the athletes of antiquity. At the same time, it contains the word “start” as a symbol of beginnings, movement and transformation, and as a direct reference to the world of sport. Cirk La Putyka sets out from ancient Athens on a journey that brings us closer to the lives of today’s professional athletes and reveals their kinship with the lives of artists. Two worlds that appear very different at first glance, yet are in reality far closer than they seem.
